Dr Thai will recommend any additional rinses or specialty cleaning aids which can help to improve and maintain your oral and gum health.
We have available for purchase all the rinses, brushes and flosses we recommend and you’re more than welcome to pop in to top-up your supply.
Colgate Neutrafluor 5000+ Toothpaste
Directions for use:
Dispense small drop of paste (about the size of pea) onto your toothbrush. Brush
as directed by your dentist and/or
hygienist.
- Once finished brushing spit any excess toothpaste out. Avoid rinsing withwater
and/or mouth wash for at least 30 minutes after brushing.
- Use twice daily.
Colgate Neutrafluor 220 Fluoride Mouth Rinse
Fluoride rinse to help strengthen and protect tooth enamel against decay
Directions for use:
- Dispense 10ml and swish around mouth vigorously for one minute.
- Spit out and avoid rinsing with water, eating and drinking for 30 minutes after use.
- Use once daily, preferably right before bedtime
- May be used after brushing though has greater benefit if used at an alternate time
to brushing - such as 30 minutes after brushing teeth.
Colgate Savacol Antiseptic Mouth Rinse
An antimicrobial rinse to help reduce bacteria in the mouth and prevent gum disease
Directions for use:
- Dispense 15ml and swish around mouth vigorously for one minute.
- Spit out and avoid rinsing with water, eating or drinking for 30 minutes after use.
- Use at an alternate time to brushing teeth for example 30 minutes before or after brushing. (The active ingredient in Savacol is neutralized by the foaming action in toothpaste).
- For short term use only as may cause surface staining to teeth.
Curasept 0.05% Mouth Rinse
An antiseptic rinse to help reduce bacteria in the mouth and prevent gum disease
Directions for use:
- Dispense 10ml and swish around mouth vigorously for one minute.
- Spit out and avoid rinsing with water, eating or drinking for 30 minutes after use.
- Use at an alternate time to brushing teeth, for example 30 minutes before or
after brushing. (The active ingredient in Curasept is neutralized by the foaming action in toothpaste).- May be used once daily
Curasept 0.12% Mouth Rinse
Directions for use:
- Dispense and use as directed above
- Use once daily for maximum of 6 weeks.
GC Tooth Mousse & Tooth Mousse Plus (with Fluoride)
Contains a bio-available calcium and phosphate derived from cow’s milk – used to rebuild and protect tooth enamel
Directions for use:
- Dispense small amount (about the size of pea) onto a cotton bud or your finger.
- Gently run tooth mousse around all surfaces of the teeth
- To spread further and incorporate ToothMousse into tooth structure –
run tongue over all surfaces of the teeth.- If desired spit out any excess.
- Avoid eating, drinking and rinsing for 30 minutes.
- Best used once daily after brushing and flossing teeth just before bed.
Toothmousse is derived from cow’s milk
so patients with a milk protein allergy should avoid using it.
Piksters Interdental Brushes (Sizes 0 to 7)
Pack 10 or Box 40
Removes plaque in-between to help reduce gum disease and decay forming between the teeth
Directions for use:
- Place tip of the Pikster in between adjoining teeth
- Adapt bristles to the tooth at the gumline and maneuver brush in a back, forward, side to side motion.
- Use in between all teeth including those that do not have an adjoining tooth
- Use once daily

Tongue Scraper
Removes plaque and bacteria from the tongue which contribute to bad breath
Directions for use:
- Place tongue scraper at the very back of the tongue
- Gently press down and pull forward toward the tip of the tongue in a sweeping motion
- Rinse the tongue scraper under water and repeat
- May be used with a small amount of toothpaste or dipped in mouth wash for added antibacterial effect
- Most effective in the evenings after brushing and flossing teeth
