We offer appointments from 9:30am

The practice is closed on all Public Holidays

Practice Location
Driving to us
We are only a few minutes off Pascoe Vale Road onto Bell Street.  From the Tullamarine Freeway exit at either Moreland Road northbound or Bell Street southbound.
We offer two car parking spots on site at the front of our building.  There is ample on-street parking on Melville Road also. 
Tip: It is possible to turn into our driveway from either direction on Melville Road but please take care northbound with trams stopping at the junction.

Practice Refurbishment
Over the next few months, our practice will be undergoing refurbishments and if this in any way affects your appointment, we will advise you as soon as possible.  Thank you. 


Your Appointment Time

We’d like you to know that your appointment time is special.  We prepare for your individual needs in advance and in many cases, long appointments are set aside to complete most dental work. 


Running Late?
If you are running late, please give us a quick call to let us know.  We know your time is valuable too so if we are running late, we will endeavour to call or SMS you to let you know as soon as possible.


Reminders

All appointments are considered confirmed at the time of scheduling.  As a courtesy, we can remind you via SMS 2 days in advance.  If you would prefer a phone call or email, please advise us of your preference.


Changing an Appointment
Giving us two days notice to change your appointment in any way is very much appreciated.  By giving us ample notice, this allows us to contact other patients who are waiting for urgent or emergency treatment.

We understand that your circumstances can change and your appointment day or time may no longer suit you.  We therefore ask that you notify us within 48 hours of your appointment time by phone and there will be no charge.

Please be aware that appointments that are changed with insufficient notice or if you do not attend will be charged at $50 per 30 minutes scheduled.  We must advise that patients who do not comply with our requests or the conditions of attending our practice, that we may withdraw our services.


Consent to Treatment
It is both our pleasure and our responsibility to assist all patients to make well-informed decisions about treatment procedures. 
For most dental treatment, we will require your oral consent before we undertake any dental procedures following your examination.  In the circumstance that you require complex treatment, we may ask you for written consent.  In the event you require a surgical procedure, we will ask you for written consent. 
In order for you to make a well informed decision we will advise you on the following in regard to the treatment proposed:

  • Outline the proposed treatment plan and its cost
  • Likely prognosis, outcomes and benefits
  • Possible complications, side-effects and material risks inherent in the treatment
  • Possible alternative treatments and cost options
  • Likely consequences of no treatment
  • Any other aspects the patient may request

As part of your general treatment plan proposal and following the treatment discussion between Dr Thai and yourself, we will also give you written information about treatment procedures.  This allows you to read the information in your own time and consider your situation.  We encourage you to speak with Dr Thai should you have any questions or concerns.

Payments
We ask that treatment is paid for on the day it is provided. We accept cash, EFTPOS and Visa/Mastercard. 

Treatment that is not paid in full at the time of invoice will incur monthly book-keeping/late payment fees.  Accounts older than three months will be referred for debt collection and the costs involved will be added to your account.  We must advise that patients who do not comply with our requests or the conditions of attending our practice, that we may withdraw our services.

Dental Insurance
We make it easy for you – we can also process your dental insurance using the HiCaps system on the spot so you need only pay the gap.  Please ensure you bring your fund card with you to each visit.

Medicare Teen Voucher
We are happy to complete preventive treatment using your voucher.  Our practice requests that our regular fee is paid on the day as per usual and you claim your rebate from Medicare with your receipt.  Please be aware that you may incur out-of-pocket expenses if the rebate is lower than our fee.


Fee Estimates

After each examination or consultation where future treatment has been proposed, our practice will give you a written fee estimate.
Your fee estimate will list the following information:

  • A description of the treatment
  • Tooth and item numbers for the treatment
  • The estimated cost of the treatment
  • The length of each appointment proposed

The fees outlined in your treatment plan are estimates based on the available evidence (visual, radiographic and photographic) and may vary depending on circumstances encountered at the time of treatment.   Examples include:

  • Unforeseen fractures may be detected in a tooth at the time of preparation, which would necessitate a larger
    than anticipated filling.
  • Small cavities that were not visible on the X-rays, may be discovered on adjacent teeth and require filling
    at the same appointment.
  • Occasionally nerve involvement may be discovered in heavily filled or severely compromised teeth.

In such circumstances the fees may be higher than expected to account for the extra time involved.  You will be informed of any changes at the time they occur and your verbal consent will be required to continue.
Although all possible care is taken, we reserve the right to correct printing errors in the treatment plan and fee estimate when they occur.  The fees are valid for six months after which time they are subject to change.
